Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you.” And their eyes were opened.Matthew 9:29-30 |
Amplified Version: Matthew 9:27 As Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, shouting loudly, Have pity and mercy on us, Son of David! Matthew 9:28 When He reached the house and went in, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, Yes, Lord. Matthew 9:29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you; Matthew 9:30 And their eyes were opened.Jesus taught that our faith, trust and confidence in His love and power for us plays a part in receiving what we desire. Notice in Matthew 9:27, two blind men followed him shouting “Jesus, have mercy (mercy = love & compassion) on us”. In Matthew 9:29 Jesus asks them a question ~ “do you believe” that I am able to do this? Then in Matthew 9:29 Jesus touches their eyes & says “According to YOUR faith and trust and reliance (dependency) on the power God invested in me be it done unto you. In Matthew 9:30, their eyes were opened. Hallelujah! WOW, they could see. Think about it. Obviously, they “each” believed in Jesus’s love for them and HIS WILLINGNESS to take blindness from them and replace it with sight. Look at the Message Version of Matthew 9:29 What are you asking and believing Jesus to do for you? Do you believe He can do it for you? Become what you believe! |
